Question:

Any Reds fans out there still that think the bullpen needs a complete overhaul in the offseason?

Whoever told Weathers he is a good pitcher needs to tell him they lied and kick him off the team! They've got good starters and some bright young hitters but will they wake up to the fact that Weathers, Lincoln and Coffey are not even Double-A worthy? Your thoughts on this frustrating situation?

  1. First of all, the Reds should have traded Griffey and Dunn years ago when they still had value. They waited until it was too late, and got like a pizza and a case of beer in return because that's all they could get for the two. The biggest downfall is the team's unactive offseason moves. They need to go out and get some free agents that can help right away, not more minor leaguers. This organization doesn't seem to care or know what the h**l is going on. But that's okay with us Cubs fans.

  2. The Reds need to overhaul their entire team! Volquez is solid but not much around him. I think that Dusty Baker is a good manager but he needs people around him. Lets see how Bruce turns out. Jocketty is a good GM though so things will work out.

  3. the reds have fans???

  4. the have completely ruined their team sending griffey and dunn away

plus their bullpen was never really that great to start with

  5. I used to be a Reds fan, but they traded me to the Cubs for two minor-league fans to be named later.

EVERYTHING about the Reds needs to be overhauled.  One of the reasons I'm so furious with the organization is that they have thrown away GREAT players (the sensation of the Home Run Derby, Josh Hamilton, was a Red last year) and have received NOTHING in return.  Look at what we could have obtained in trade for Adam Dunn or Ken Griffey Jr., instead of a whopping total of three minor league pitchers who will probably never make it to the Louisville Bats (the AAA team), let alone the big league team.  One thing's for darn certain -- they need to fire their pitching scouts!!

While they're at it, I wish they'd get some new announcers.  I'm absolutely SICK of Marty Brennaman and his negative attitude that seems to start with the first pitch.  His son could go back to the Diamondbacks and take his old man with him and I wouldn't miss either of them.  The ONLY announcer they have that's any good at all is George Grande.

  6. Sorry, but the whole team, management, coaches, and so forth needs an overhaul. They no doubt need to keep Volquez, Harrang, Arroyo, at least. They need more SP, and most definitely RP, as well as a ton of offensive power, consistency.  Otherwise they wil continue to be just a step above The Nationals.
