  1. Well someone already said Lindau.  Seriously you don't get much more romantic then that.  It is this perfect Renaissance town on Lake Constance (Bodensee).  That whole are is nice.  You can go to Ravensburg which is an old walled city, Wiengarten which has a pretty Basilica, Friedrichshafen which is the bigger town but has a nice boardwalk on the lake, Meersburg which is just west of Friedrichshafen and also on the lake, it is perfect medieval town and also a neat spot to actually stay.  Across the lake is Konstance, a beautiful old University town with the where the Council of Konstance took place, Romanshorn, Switzerland, and Bergenz, Austria are close too.

It is a wonderful and some what cheaper part of Germany.

  2. hello,

u didn't say exactly where in southern germany, but one thing tht always is nice is castletours, or the ships on the river u can take tours on.u can really make almsot anything romantic, dinenr at a nice restaurant in the area, sightseeing, walks anythere in the area without knowing what area it is kind  of hard to pinpoint..................gl...... i hope it'll be all u want it to be

  3. I would go to Lindau, on the Lake Konstance and stay in Bayern Hof-it´s right on the water.  You could get to Bregenz via a ferry, and go up to the fenda (I don´t know how to spell it).  There is also Island Mainau-tons of goreous flowers.  You can take a ferry there from the city of Konstance.

    Tschüs!

  4. Hi,

Depending upon where you want to go in southern Germany but if you are military there is a resort in Garmisch which has tours available. Romantic horse drawn carriage rides, beautiful restaurants in the mountains and numerous bed and breakfast rooms in the sourrounding area.

Check with your MWR or CAC, they have alot of travel information.

Rothenburg is a beautiful city to visit as well. I thought it was very romantic there. Horse drawn buggies and beautiful scenery, not to mention Kathy Wolfhart's Christmas store.

Sonthofen was another favorite of mine.
