I have spent days trying to fill in umpteen forms with details going back to my birth. Surely there is an easier way.

  1. If you living in London go to your embassy I know its a pain in the **** or even trying online.

  2. Uh.... no =/  Unfortunately, the only way to do it is via the consulate, unless you'd like to do it the expensive way and go back to SA. You're still lucky, the consulates in the UK are considered good. But even here where I am, Brazil, it wasn't too bad.

I'm assuming that you are South African born. If you were a naturalised SAn, there is some new ruling that after 5 years of not entering the country, your right to a SA passport is forfeited.
