Im so bored of my tank so i want to get a new fish :D Any suggestions on a cool fish to put in my tank? something that is very pretty, active, and unique.Ohh yea and no aggressive fishes please. The fishes in my tank are pretty small. My silver arowanas are both like 12 inches long and my red tail catfish is 3 inches. I dont want the fish to eat my tiny catfish. 1. watch the arrowanas with the red tail

u can put in a synspuliam

    oscars

wa size tank is it by the way

    nope definately not

  2. Pacus get big like your other fish and are vegetarians. Same with Tinfoil Barbs. I wonder what NEW fish you can put in with 12 inch Arowanas without them wanting to eat it at first.

  3. I have a ton of Loaches, they are cool looking and help clean the tank & get along with anything. Khuli Loaches are long and striped, Dojo Loaches are also long so they are cool to have in a tank & Of course there are Clown Loaches which most people are familiar with and Yoyo Loaches. The Khuli Loaches tend to dig unde rthe gravel & hide out so they may not be what you're looking for but the rest are pretty active. We don't have any Blood Parrots but we do have a big Cichlid tank and we have Loaches living in harmony with them just fine. Good luck!

  4. Did you do ANY research before stocking your tank (just  curious)?  Unless your tank is well over 450 gallons, you need rehouse some of your fish.  The blood parrots , although small, will need a 100+ gallon tank to themselves.  The redtail needs nothing smaller than a 125 gallon tank (to itself).  You need nothing smaller than a 250 gallon tank to safely house your arrowana.  Additionally, the parrots can be aggressive toward other fish, did you realize that?  When housing fish, you should never keep adding fish just because your fish are "small" or "tiny" leaving open tank space.  Unless your fish have proper space allocations, they will become stunted and die prematurely.  You also risk causing serious aggression issues and disease by overstocking.  You can also create very dangerous instabilities in your biologic filter.  I wouldn't keep the fish you have together in the same tank.... it's just not a good stocking.

Don't be a fish hoarder.  You shouldn't add any additional fish until you ensure proper housing for those you already have.

....by the way, I have  currently have goldfish, green spotted puffers, betta splenden, betta plakat, african dwarf frogs, cherry barbs, zebra plecostomas and lemon tetras.  In the past I've had piranha, oscars, pacu and a variety of marine fish.  I have these fish housed in 6 different tanks ranging from 10 - 180 gallons.  I also have emperor scorpions, bearded dragons and breed my own crickets.

    --------------------------------------...

Under NO circumstance should you keep a discus in the tank with your other fish.  The reasons why it is a very bad idea are too numerous to mention......  I will tell you that discus need very specific water parameters that are not appropriate for your other fish.  Discus are also in the cichlid family and would not get along with your blood parrots.

  5. Don't worry about anything eating he redtail.

Within the year, he will have easily eaten the arowana.

I've had one get 28'' in under a year.

You are aware how massive those get right?
