When i try to do it my hands don't hit the ground but my legs do something funky. my mom watched me and im bending my legs or something and they aren't going fully over they are like going halfway then i stop and hit the ground =P

  1. possibly try practising on a trampoline...?  maybe you're nervous about doing something wrong, so if you practise on a trampoline, you might feel safer and even learn to land one.

    good luck!!

  2. Okay... I'm a dancer too and I can do an aerial. But I couldn't for awhile, what I did to help me was when I did the step to push off to do the aerial I hit my foot on the ground with a LOT of power and force and once I did that I wiped my legs over. While wiping my legs over don't bend them, and what i mean by the is don't totally bend them. But don't lock them either. When you land make sure to put one foot down then the other. Don't try to put them down at the same time. I hope this helps and I hope you get your aerial!!! GOOD LUCK!!!! :)

  3. do it on a hill =]

    it's fun lol...

uhm...  aerials are simple... just go with the flow.. try hot potato cartwhells lol.. that should help..

also make sure to point your toes.. keep your legs straight if that seems to be the problem

  4. Is the gymnastic aerial the same as what aerial means in cheerleading?

You need someone to spot you when you practice until you get it!
