Any Verizon reps out there or someone that knows about phones?

So I hear that alltel and verizon are going to merge, my son has a alltel phone and plan and his two years are up but he wants to keep his phone but come onto my verizon plan. is it possible for him to keep his alltel phone but run on verizon service. I mean they will be the same company after the new year?

Yep, it'll be fine. As long as it's his phone (or at least hasn't been reported stolen he can use any CDMA phone and ask Verizon to put it on their network under your plan ). I could do the same with my Bell phone.

To do it you just have to endure the 1 800 number..lol
