Any Virginia Beach Hints??

Question

I'll be down there for dance nationals next week and I was hoping for any advice.. Like good (cheap) places to eat, fun stuff to do, tourist traps to avoid etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated. We are staying on the boardwalk. Whats up with the trolleys?

the entire strip along the boardwalk will provide plenty of what you're NOT looking for... tourist traps, bad/overpriced food, etc.  however, they do have some very cool bars (if you're into that scene)  there's plenty to do in the area, though.  go up laskin road & there's a dive shop, paintball, borders book store, (tons of other stuff) & if you like seafood, capt. george's is great food, but not cheap...

I live down there so what i would reccomend is hit up the beach, MotorWorld (Cheap Pace to go Go-Karting), if u feel like driving about an hour you can go to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg or Water Country USA in Williamsburg. Also, more fun is if you go to Kings Dominion which is about 1hr and a half drive which is a huge amusement park (If u decide to go to Kings Dominion buy your tickets from a Food Lion grocery store because you save $)! Hope this was helpful
