I purchased a sanus wall mount from Amazon three days ago and received it yesterday. The packaging was totally destoryed. Looked like something solid and heavy crush the box cutting through the cardboard. I asked the FedEx carrier to send it back damaged, he even recommended me to do so.
Minutes later, I called Amazon to send me another one which they did. It was shipped overnight and just received it this afternoon. The same FedEx carrier delievered the item which was packed in a larger box. The carrier recommended I open it to observe the contents, so I did. Not to my surprise, the packaging was damaged again..slightly this time around. A couple of punctured holes, wear and tear as if the item had been moved about often.
My concern is (this mount will be used to hang a 50" tv on the wall) there are tons of 5 star reviews on the product and I'm skeptical about online reviews. Has anyone dealt with damaged packaging from Amazon and are satisfied with the product (safety)?
