What are some acting exercises that I can do at home to improve my acting?please be specific

  1. Learn how to beat out a script. Do it to monologues and then work the monologues.

    Find a scene or monologue and come up with at least 3 completely different ways to play it. Different characters. Different intentions.

    Watch great actors (rent Gosford Park).

    Really listen when people talk to you. If you don't listen in real life, you'll never listen in a scene.


  2. ok this is gonna sound relay silly but this really helps me double my acting skills. you should do this exercise where you lay down on a bed and say to yourlslef:  heres an example:

    how do i feel? i feel happy. how do i feel? i feel sad. How do i feel? i feel ANGRY! p.s. you should put emphasis in that word or watever u call it haha im not good wiht words) how do i feel? i feel a pain in my chest. and just do that and then end off with how do i feel? i feel happy and then you feel relaly happy and then you feel all this energy inside of you and it reallly works i guarantee you this will help. after i do this, i act much much better!

  3. There are zillions of exercises... but probably not for everyone...  identify a style that you want. A person, group, or company that really make you think "I want to do that". Find a way to practice with their technique (and i said practice, besides study). practice is finally what will get you on stage in a solid way. Best of luck!
