  1. It is a hard school to get into, but people get into it every year. Why not you?

What do you want to study specifically? Musical theater? Acting? Dance?

But Juilliard - for that, I'd have you look at their website re: what's needed for an audition, and start working toward that now. Get good quality instruction in acting/dance (or whatever you plan to major in.) And begin to work on pieces that show you at your best - not necessarily the pieces that are the most difficult ones out there, but those that allow you to show yourself at your very best. Because the audition is EVERYTHING re: Juilliard admissions.

I'd have you consider doing a quality summer program at a place that's well known and respected in your field. This will expose you to other teaching styles, other methods re: acting and dance. This can be especially important if you're a competition dancer, as competition dancing sometimes seems to give dancers a certain style that doesn't always work in the rest of the dance world. If you've developed any "competititon dancer"... hmm... things... going to a really good dance program might allow you to see them, and to fix them.

I'm going to link you to a similar question, and although this person was asking about music, the answer has good ideas for you:

Have you seen Juilliard's admissions blog? Lots of good info there re: the audition process:

And have you read the book, "How I Paid for College"? It's about a kid who gets into Juilliard, how he does it, and how he comes up with the tuition. It's a comedy, so don't follow it as a guide for how to get in! But you might like it.
