Any adoptees here raised in a completely open adoption?

from birth? Where you were raised by your adoptive parents and had contact with your bio mom/family with no restrictions.

I'd really like to hear your thoughts and experiences. And how do you think your attitudes about adoption compare to those adoptees who were raised in closed adoptions?

i was adopted when i was 7 months old and was still seeing some of my family but when i was 7 they stopped and didnt want to know anymore.

I would rather a closed adoption but it depends if the child is old enough to understand and what they want.

it was very confusing for me aswell

I think we may be waiting a few years to be able to gage a wide range of adoptee opinion from adult adoptees raised in open adoptions

I'm happy they don't have to grow up in the dark the way us 'oldies' did and await their feedback as eagerly as you

Many are not old enough yet to have a voice, as 'open' adoption is a fairly new concept in adoption.
