Any advice as to painting a small 1/2 bathroom? I'm having a problem picking a color for it.?

I have a tiny 1/2 bathroom with a light grey sink and toilet. The problem is my countertop....it's speckled pink & grey. Any suggestions to break up the room. I would like to do 2 colors...1/2 & 1/2 maybe but don't want it to be boring. Any suggestions??????

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. I think a light green like "dewy" (# 6469) and "shoji white" (# 7042) would be perfect colors for the bathroom - and they would coordinate with the pink & gray.

wallpaper gives you many options. if you want to match counter top you could use 1 color as a base then sponge other color. there are many options with sponging, using either liter or heavier sponging and different looks you can get. do a test sample on a good size board till you see what you like. you can also find books with examples at most any paint store. if you want 1/2 and 1/2 you can use a nice boarder paper to separate colors

I think that different shades of lighter grey stripes on the bottom of the wall (sorta like a wainscoting look) and a solid lighter shade of pink on the top would look beautiful. You could put up a chair-rail trim to separate them or find a pretty matching border.
