Well, ive never REALLY rode an ACTUAL roller coaster. Like the one with all the loops and super high drops and stuff like that, and my best friend REALLY wants to try Medusa in Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. But im scared out of my mind, but i promised her i would ride whatever she would, and i sort of want to ride it too, but i dont know how to get over my fear of roller coasters. Does ANYONE have any advice for a first time roller coaster rider ?Please, it would help ALOT.

  1. You could try singing your favorite song really loud during it or right before it starts...that would be fun...

  2. hold her hand so its red after the ride, and scream the whoooooollllleeeeeee time ahhhhhhh!!! lol, hope this helps :)

  3. Just relax and try to think that it's some mini roller coaster ride. Also, keep your eyes open and think that the next loop or drop is just a mini one and there'll be bigger ones next time.

  4. wow im in that very same thing right now well i asked that question they told me to start by the smallest rides and keep goin up tell your friend why you're doing that

  5. Just hold on and think of happy toughts. If that does not work just don't look down or up, close your eyes.

  6. Stay calm and try not to shake (that's what I do and then my palms get really sweaty...Lol.) And remember to hold on to the handlebar or whatever is strapping your in. Take deep breaths and close your eyes before a big drop or a loop. My first roller coaster was the Corkscrew at Cedar Point. I was TERRIFIED, but eventually my mother talked me into it and I ended up riding it 12 times that day. So remember to try to stay calm and think that thousand of people ride this coaster everyday and come out safe and satisfied. Hope this helped and have fun :D

  7. Hold on tight
