Ok, I've always had problems with them, yes, I get through them, but I'm always nervous. Can someome just tell me a trick. I know I gotta just relax, be calm and everything, but i just can't help but me nervous. I know everyone has to do presentations at times, and everyone makes mistakes. but i just always seem to blush and become embarrassed. It's humiliating, and I need a trick to just help me get through it easier.

  1. • First, know your stuff better than anybody > not just the dolts & doofusses.

    • Second, practice your presentation over & over > every morning, every night.   You should know it so well, you won't need any note cards to refer to.

    • Anticipate any questions, objections or criticisms & be prepared to counter.

    • Do not begin your presentation until you have everyone's attention>> if the audience is talking, stand there, smile & wait.

    • Begin your presentation with an audience benefit > something that will interest them > I know you're all going to want to know how to be popular......

    • Key your eye contact with the listeners > about 5 seconds & then move onto the the next person. Make sure you acknowledge the teacher or the most important person in the room with a look in the eye & a slight head bow just before you begin.

    • See yourself as successful > keep that image that your are in control & command.  Moderate your voice, pace yourself, keep your body language loose, begin with a soft smile > you never look better than when you're smiling.

    • Conclude by asking for questions or clarifications.

    • Leave with another smile.

    • Never forget you are a winner no matter what > there will never be another you, make the most of your time here.

    • Relax & enjoy your time.

  2. I know this is easier to say than do, but it helped me: try to make yourself realize that being nervous is not going to help you with the presentation, before i present, if I feel nervous i take a deep breath and actually say to myself "not helpful" and move on, the only way to describe it is get out of your head, away from all those fears, and into your body. In addition, going over the presentation several times is a major help, being sure in yourself and knowing your material frontwards and backwards is the best way to conquer nerves.
