I'm going into high school, and I am totally nervous. I was in the oldest grade last year, but now I'm the youngest and I'm really scared. Any advice??

  1. People will always respect someone who respects themselves. Don't give in to the media or peers who think you should try to fit some ideal. This is the true way to popularity, being popular with yourself first. Trust me, I lived it and I'm thankful I made the right choices early on that enabled me to have a great high school experience, not just being in the top popularity group, but being someone everyone liked and respected, and being a unique person true to myself.

  2. Have fun...those four years will be some of the best of your life.

  3. don't be scared, its not that bad i promise. =]

just be yourself, have an open mind, stick to your morals, be outgoing, and don't get involved with people that want you to change yourself.

  4. I guess the best thing to say is to be yourself, take each day as it comes, and (as weird as it sounds) try and enjoy it!   High school can be great fun, and it's certainly important in many ways, as well as being a pain in the backside in many ways too!   Just remember to keep things in perspective, talk to friends and family and know that most people feel a little bit freaked out when they start high school- it's all part of the fun!   :-)

  5. my freshman year of high school was my favorite, its easy and isnt

as rough as a lot of people make it out to be. be friends with everyone.

dont fall for an upperclassmen. and just relax, its really fun. you will meet new people. just rememeber to use protection. and dont be a smartass.

  6. Do not get caught in peer pressure, do not run your mouth, use protection, and do not act like you are big or tough, or a smartass

  7. yeah, be yourself, be open, and nice =), the main thing is to not think that  you're better that older kids cuz then they'll get pissed! lol, i'm in sec 4 so, i know we don't like it when kids think they're good.. so just be friendly and before you know it, you'll have a ton of friends!  and remember, the other kids feel the same as you, so if you break the ice, they will be really grateful for it! because they are as nervous as you are! i hope this helps! Good luck!

  8. Stick with your old friends. Don't try to impress somebody. Be yourself. People from other grades will surely tease you because you're a freshman. Hold your head high and ignore them. This will show them that you don't care and they will eventually leave you alone, or think twice of ever teasing you again. As for meeting new people, try to be friendly and warming as you can. Be interesting..people would notice you. As for academics, try the best you can in every subject. High School is very important, especially when it comes to college applications so don't let other things distract you from your future. Hope this helps =]
