Ever since I moved by to my parents house, I have been depressed!!!

I just started High School on Monday and that only made it WORSE (all my friends have either dropped out/graduated) which makes me EVEN MORE depressed.

I go to sleep with problems and when I feel "refreshed" that good feeling is only temporary. Five minutes later, I am back to depression all over again. Can somebody help me finds ways to not be depressed (or little bit depressed).

Thank you and God bless you!!!!

  1. I recommend talking to someone about this (not necessarily a counselor, though.)

And also, you can't allow your happiness to depend on others and their decisions. You have to decide what's right for you and go with that. If someone else does something that is potentially a big mistake (such as dropping out) then you have to accept that and move on with your life. Just because you no longer attend school with them doesn't mean you can't make friends with someone who is still going to school with you. It might be worthwhile. =D

Also, you might want to try and find a way to express your emotions instead of just knowing that they're there. Poetry can really help or talking with a friend or someone you trust to receive advice from.

If you ever need to talk and no one's there to listen, or you don't feel you can trust anyone, contact me. My email option isn't disabled in the profile section.

Edit: chemical imbalances are just theories. No one care prove it.

Edit: That's really not good at all. I'm sorry things like that are happening to you. I've been there before, but no situation is exactly alike and I can't say what would help you. Especially since I don't *know* you well enough to determine something like that. Really, seek guidance from someone. Please, before it's too late.

  2. Doctors and Meds worked for me. you have a chemical imbalance, it happens to LOTS of us! doctors find out just "what kind" of depression it is, slight, mild, or severe and they prescribe you with the meds to balance out the c**p that makes you feel like c**p. its not fun, and i've had it for YEARS, but i've found myself enjoying family and friends again. some people who get depressed dont want to get on medication cause they tell themselves they dont want to "rely" on meds to be happy. but it could change the way you look at things. and WORK OUT! ;-)

  3. talk to your parent and you need to see your doctor about this and get help. Just remind yourself that this is not your fault and that you are going through a rough transition.

Try to find an activity you enjoy and make an effort to meet new people. I know you miss your buddys but that doesn't mean you can't socialise with others.

If you don't feel comfortable talking with your folks or a doc then make an appointment with your school counselor. they're there to help you.

  4. You should talk to your parents or your school counselor or maybe a psychiatrists. But you need to get pass that get a job move on up get new friends meet people and i am pretty sure that you could hang out with your co workers if you get a job. Just get more involved with activities. All of that was in the pass now go to the future trust me this WILL help!! :)
