Any advice how to catch our missing persian cat?

Our cat went missing nearly a week ago and my children are really upset. We live on a housing estate so we went round the whole estate and delivered little posters of her. Tonight we get a call from someone on the estate to say they think they saw her. My husband goes over and it is her!!! But she won't come to him, is petrified and keeps running off and hiding, we just can't get her. Any suggestions how to catch her????

Cage. Door that closes when triggered. Food in back of cage. We's on da same page yet?

yeah a trap with some tuna I heard is the best because of the wonderful smell

Your safest resolution for you and your kitty is a live trap. These are extremely safe. the only delimma would be that you might catch a coon before you catch your kitty. Raccoons love cat food! well good luck!
