Any advice on Michigan Foster Agencies?

My husband and I are looking to Foster a child, does anyone have any experience with the Michigan foster system, state or private agencies? Thanks for any advice you may have!

I don't have experience with it (but will in a few years :D) but you can contact a social worker and inform them that you would like to foster a child. Be aware that it's going to take a long time--they want to be sure you're absolutely serious about doing it. They'll do a full background check on you and your husband and anyone your children would come in contact with, and you will be interviewed numerous times. Your home will be inspected to make sure that it is safe.
