Any advice on an all-inclusive resort in cancun?

My boyfriend will be back from Iraq in 32 days as will my best friends husband. We want to plan a couples trip to cancun, but our guys LOVE to drink, so we were thinking the all-inclusive would be the way to go. We want one that is themed more party instead of family, just because neither of us have kids. I would appreciate the help.

  1. golden parnassus is an all inclusive aldults only resort in cancun

we went there and it was such a great time!!!

  2. My brother has been to the Sun Palace several times!!

    check it out at www.globetrottingspot.com

  3. riu cancun is wonderful! good atmosphere and there werent very many kids at all when i went there. and you are pretty much downtown cancun where there are lots of cool restaurants and bars. hope this helps!

  4. First let me say a heart felt thank you to your boyfriend and all the fine men and women who are serving in the U.S. armed forces.

If you are planning a trip in mid April then you do not really need to worry about kids being in the way too much. That being said, the Riu Cancun is an excellent recommendation. I think what the poster above meant to say is that the resort is close to the Party Center. The area known as Centro (Downtown) is 9 kilometers away, close in a way but not that close. The Party Center is where most of Cancun's famous nightlife and a great number of restaurants are located.

Other resorts I would consider include:

Dreams Resort-on site dolphins, within walking distance to the Party Center

Sunset Royal-within walking distance to the Party Center

The Royal in Cancun-adults only, high end, across from Flamingo shopping mall with Pat O'Brien's, Margaritaville, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., etc., etc.

Barcelo Tucancun-behind Kukulcan Plaza shopping mall with Ruth's Chris Steak House, Cenacolo (top rated Italian fare), and a lot of entertainment establishments

    Have fun planning your trip,

  5. The Sun Palace would NOT be a good fit. Sun Palace is a smaller resort . Kids are not allowed, however, it is NOT a party atmosphere. Far from it. Very quiet and romantic. Having been there last year I am confident in my suggestion. I would recommend the Riu Cancun, it is a larger resort right in the middle of the party zone. You can walk to shopping and all the major night clubs in just minutes, and the drinking never stops at this resort. I hope you have a great time where ever you stay. Our boys over seas deserve a good vacation when they return.
