Question:

Any advice on high prescription contact lenses?

I'm RE +4.75 LE +6.00 (yes, I'm blind!)

I only wear contacts after work and on weekends when going out (I would wear them at work, yet can't because of the dry, cool environment).

I need advice on:-

1) Any suggestion in easily putting in something so thick into my eye (considering the script).

2) How can I tell that they are inside out - because they are thicker than a usual set, they turn both ways and either way look like the "cup" one is told it's suppose to look like.

I do enjoy wearing them - however only a newbie with it all and welcome any suggestions.

Ta :)

  1. I have high prescription contact lenses as well and I find them easier to insert because they aren't as flimsy as thinner lenses.  They really aren't more difficult to insert.

To tell if they are inside out or not, sometimes it's easier to tell if you flip it and compare both ways.  If this doesn't work, you should be able to tell once you get it in your eye.  Some people have discomfort if their lenses are inside out, but I find that my lens slides around a lot if it's inside out.

  2. why dont u try RGP lens that can be worn total wake up time

if u have any problem with tolerance than you can try hybrid lenses
