Question:

Any advice on how to start dating in medical school?

I start med school next week.

It will be the first time for me living on my own. And I want to make the most about it. I would like to date in medical school, despite the time constraints.

But first, some things about me. I am 23. I've never had a girlfriend before. Meanwhile, the single girls in my school will most likely have plenty of dating and sexual experience.

I have a disability called OI, which causes me to break bones easier when I was a kid. I now have a bad limp and am much shorter than average.

I've never travelled before. I've none been to a lot of parties or social situations in my life. So I'm afraid that any guy is going to look much better than me in every possible way.

What advice can you give me?

  1. Just be nice and sweet like you sound.  Thats what women like!

  2. **** other guys and anyway you shall have a very respectable job and you will only attract respectable women who take you as you are. So be proud of yourself and try. And btw if you don't like going to parties i understand because there are a lot of s***s there. tHOUGH pubs are good places.

  3. Congratulations on being accepted to medical school.  It's a guarantee that Osteogenesis Imperfecta will be a condition that comes up in your education, so be prepared for your peers to be far more inquisitive than at any other time in your life.

Gee, another horny medical student.  How rare.  <smile>  Have you ever watched the movie "An Officer and a Gentleman"?  If not, the principal theme of the movie was that the females in the community surrounding a military base sought relations with the military cadets.  The world over, doctoral students are considered "the" catch to get.  You're going to become a target at medical school.  The best advice I can offer is to not fall head over heels in love with your first girlfriend.
