Question:

Any advice on knitting lace sweaters, and keeping stitches aligned?

Especially with this pattern:

Every time I knit this, by the third or fourth odd row on the RS, it comes out misaligned by at least one stitch... thank you :-)

  1. Sometimes it's helpful to put stitch markers between the repeats of the pattern. Also threading a cotton or other slick cord through the stitches every few rows so that it's easy to rip back to the cord without losing any stitches


  2. I have found while knitting complicated patterns, that I have to write each row on a piece of paper. When I finish the row, I make an x and when I start a new row , I make a check mark. I don't like counters because they have a way of changing and then I'm really lost. You must count the stitches on  every row before moving on. Don't give up! The end result is well worth the effort even if it is frustrating at times.
