  1. Relax and have fun!!  You can conceive so much faster if you go into it relaxed...I don't know why, but it's true!  Good luck...having a baby is a huge blessing!

  2. have fun while doing it! and start trying without using any OPKs or anything... just do the BD from the day that you stop bleeding, every other day until a day or so before your next expected period... now that said,  i have a question for you, what kind of implant did you have, and have you started bleeding yet??

GOOD LUCK AND LOTS OF BABY DUST<3

  3. Congrats on starting to TTC.  First I would say, try to have fun with it and not stress too much.  Second I would suggest getting a basal body thermometer and taking your temp each morning as soon as you wake up (and I mean it, keep the BBT by the bed and take it before you even sit up).  Then join a site like this to chart:

    http://www.ivillage.com/fertilityplanner

It will help you learn when you ovulate and when the best days to BD (baby dance) are.  When you ovulate, it's best to BD every other day for about a week before, during and after. So if you ovulate on day 14, start BDing on day 9 and keep it up until day 16 or 17 just to be safe.

Good luck!  And baby dust to you!

  4. Take a prenatal vitamin and get ovulation strips from the grocery store (or drug store) so you know when you ovulate for best results.   Good Luck!

  5. Have fun!!!! DON'T try to make a baby...make sweet, sweet lurve!!! That'll work better and faster!

  6. Congratuations, it's an exciting adventure!  There's been some wonderful advice already.  Spending this next 4 months getting to know your bodies normal cycles will be very helpful.  Nothing can tell you more than keeping your temperature chart so you might want to start that.

The most important thing I've learned in the 18 months I've been TTC is not to set expectations.  I'm not trying to say you won't get pregnant in the first month you try but if you happen not to sometimes we've already let our mind have timeframes or plans in mind...and these make it difficult to ride the montly roller coaster without getting too down if it doesn't turn out just hte way you planned.

My husband and I find it the least stressful and most fun to BD 3-4 times a week whether it was a "fertile time" or not.  The whole 18 months has brought us closer and closer.

    Good luck!

  7. Good job starting on the folic acid ahead of time! I used an on line ovulation calculator and got pregnant the first time both times. Very easy to use and I got e-mail reminders on when my period would start and the best days to try to conceive. I believe I used mymonthlycycles.com, but I don't remember for sure. Good luck!!
