Question:

Any advice on the CHANTIX program?

My doctor prescribed me Chantix when I asked about it... but didn't give me any instruction for it, nor did the pharmacist. I'm on my third day of it... should I be trying to cut back, or let it do whatever it's supposed to do? Looking for tips and instruction from other people that have used it to successfully quit... Thank you!

  1. Both of my parents were on Chantix.

In a very short time, my father (a smoker for 47 years) went from 3 packs a day to less than 1 pack a day. Dad is no longer takiong Chantix, but he is no longer smoking either.

My mother had to quit taking Chantix, though, because she had very vivid dreams that disturbed her sleep. A friend of hers had to quit for the same reason.

  2. In the next day or two, you will start cutting back without realizing it.  If you normally smoke every hour, you'll suddenly realize that it's been 2-3 hours since you last smoked.  Chantix is the only stop-smoking aid that has helped me.

  3. There are some posts here http://www.getnaturalhealthsolutions.com about Chantix as well as a video review of an alternative stop smoking mehtod that is natural and has no side effects.

Congratulations on your decision to stop smoking.

    To your health.
