Question:

Any advise/basic facts before taking Spanish?

Apparently, being in Honors English enables you to go directly to Honors Spanish. It's been a few days, and I have no idea what the "basics" are, like when to use what personal endings, or anything at all. Kinda stressful. Especially seeing people fluent in Spanish speak in the class.

If anyone has some advice or basic facts, it would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Basic fact: You never learn anything in those kind of classes. I learned more Spanish speaking it around the community for three months than the years I spent taking Spanish in the classroom.

If you want, you can easily get through most of the Spanish grammar in less than two weeks. Vocabulary is a different problem, however. If you'd like, try buying a book that teaches you all the conjugations and different rules of Spanish, or you could visit some websites that brush through basic Spanish grammar. This one is good:

    Good luck with learning!

P.S. If you don't know the language at all, maybe you shouldn't be there just yet. Put it off until you're ready, perhaps. (I don't want to sound mean, but that sounds logical.)
