Any advise for getting into acting???

Question

I am 12 years old and realy want to get into acting!!! It started aslike a little joke between me and my friends on how to meet the Jonas Brothes but the more I thought about it the more I got serious about wanting to start besides the Jonas Broters or any other famous person!!! When I say acting I don't mean plays I mean like movies, tv shows or even commercials! I know it wont just happen over night and I don't live in the greatest pace for acting (Florida)!!! But I really want to do this so do u have any advice on how I can make this work???

Proscout is a good way to get discovered. you should look up there website/ www.proscout.com. see if they have a tryout in your area im sure they do. also look around for local theatres that do like plays and stuff that would help you with getting the idea of acting and how to improve yourself. many many many actors in hollywood all had to go to some kind of acting school.

Get serious. If you understand it won't happen overnight, then you need to realise that the little commercials here and there go a long way. Many people live and breathe acting and don't get the chance to do even little stuff. So honestly, if you expect to become a famous actress without liking it, your out of luck. You also need to know, its called show business for a reason. It is a business. Its a job, and it requires hard work, determination, and a lot of luck

i take acting classes, do drama at school and i want to start taking auditions

get involved in as much as you can

take every opportunity

If you want to act, then why don't you want to be in plays? That's acting. No offense, but I think you may still be doing this to meet famous people.

But, either way, you should start taking lessons and do plays at a local theater. This way you can build up your resume. Then, start searching for an agent!
