  1. Relax =D

A few things I can think of:

-- Make sure you check your airline's website in regards to baggage. Some airlines are different from others and you will need to check how heavy your bags can be, what you can take onboard and what you'll need to put into your check-in luggage (which goes in the hold of the plane as opposed to you carrying it on). In recent years they've made big changes to things like fluids so especially look at that.

-- Know the basic laws in your destination country, especially age restrictions for things like drinking and buying cigarettes. I'm sure your sister could advise you on that.

-- Keep calm and pay attention. Going through airports can be very intimidating, especially going through security and immigration/customs in the destination country. I've definitely gotten lost in airports before, but usually any "official" looking person (security guards etc) are happy to point you in the right direction.

-- Other than that, have fun, and good luck!

  2. Keep a notebook with you with all your important information.  Flight numbers, gate numbers, where are you going to meet your ride, cell phone number of anyone you can call if you have a problem.

I do this every time I travel, and it makes things so much smoother.

  3. Just make sure your paperwork is in order before you go.

Carry your real essentials with you.

Carry two credit cards, and keep them in separate places, just in case one is lost.

Call the bank from which your credit card is issued, to let them know you will be traveling.

Photocopy your important documents, and keep the photo copy in a separate location from either of your cards or your passport. If your important stuff is lost, you will have an easier time replacing them. (and they have the important phone numbers, etc. with them.)

Take the phone number of your country's nearest embassy and consulate with you, just in case you have trouble.

As you're visiting your sister, you have a place to land in the other country so you shouldn't have much to worry about.

    Enjoy it!

  4. if ur affraid that a burglar will  stole ur wallet then dont bring large amount of money just bring amount of money you need and an axtre for emegency porpuses.. u should bring always your credit card or ur ATM card... ofcourse ur cellphone..

  5. Visit the airport, you'll be flying out of with your parents a few days or a week in advance.

Walk around it so you won't feel lost.

Bring your ticket and travel docs and ask your airline to give you a pass to go thru security to view the gates.

Then when you arrive at the airport to fly you will have done most of it before.

The object is that when there are bad people at the airport, they look to take advantage of those who are young or appear to be lost and in need  of help.

So when you get there you want to look confident and know what you are doing like you've done it a hundred times before.

Make sure you weigh your suitcase in advance and call your airline to find out what their fees are for checking bags.

A year ago nearly all airlines carried at least 2 bags up to 50 lbs for free for each passenger.  Now, that has changed and many charge a fee, some for the first bag and some for the 2nd bag.

Also overweight fees can be very high.  1 lbs over the limit might be a fee of $75.00.

So leave a bit of extra room in your carry on bag in case you need to move something from your main checked bag to your carry on.

The last time I flew a check bag was 2 lbs over the limit, so I moved a Bible from the checked bag to my carry on.  That solved the problem.

  6. well bring your cell phone if you have one, anyways if you do have one you probably wont forget it, just in case

also i would bring a book  or your i pod if you have one, because sometimes airplane flights may seem very very long. also if you want bring  small snack if you can like 1 bag of potato chips just because, but if they allow you to.

    hope i helped
