  1. My old man who was in the air force reserves told me that they have to get something like 30 hours a month, which means they fly more than 2 days a month.  They still have a regular job when not flying for Uncle Sam.  So from what i understand(i could be wrong), they only fly a few days a month for the Air Force when not deployed.  As for being a pilot you need to be an officer which I'm sure you know already, which means college.  If you're an airman 1st class you must be around 18, 19 years old so there is time to go to college.  Some bases like Travis have flight school for Air Force people to learn how to fly and get their civilian license, check in to that.  But if you want to fly air force you gotta be an officer so get that degree first.  It will help you in the civilian world as well.  Good luck!
