Any amusing incidents during harvest time ?

Hi,

It is just that last harvest time, I was helping out on the local farm, mates of mine.

I had 7tons of wheat grain on the trailer, and popped into a local pub for lunch with the assembly, before dumping it into the silo, & returning to a feild to collect more from the combines.No number plate on the trailer, though, so some twit grumbled.

I said, "OK, you unhook the thing, and get it to the farm in quick time"

Silly beggar !

So do you appreciate the toil & effort that goes into a loaf of bread ?

people want their 'stuff' to appear magically on the shelf.

i have got hassle while delivering, same attitude, e.g. po faced chelsea tractor driver bitching cos she couldnt get her massive shiny chariot down the tiny lane she wanted because my lorry was 'in her way' started shouting 'it shouldnt be allowed' i'm thinking wtf? do you want your veg, your consumer goods, your bread, or not woman? i guess she expects 'trade' to be arranged in the hours of darkness....

oops, sorry, rant over.
