I'm 16 and have been suffering from migraines with Aura since I was 11. The migraines were really bad last summer where basically the whole summer I would lay in my bed waiting for the always scary aura to go away and then be greeted with a painful headache and nausea. I cannot find a consistent "trigger" before a migraine, except for the fact that they seem to be worse in the summer. However they are not gone in the fall and winter. I'm at a lose of what to do. I've only been taking medications such as advil, tylenol, and ibuprofen, but they seem to give me little to no relief. I'm at the point of trying some prescription medications and would like to know whats best, and if anyone has had a similar problem of not being able to find a trigger. I'm basically looking for anything right now. Oh, and last summer when they were really bad I was seeing a chiropractor, so I've kind of ruled that option out.

Thanks!!!

  1. you are very special and needed my Friend and you are not alone in your pain

the energy levels are increasing on this planet and during the summer the sun kicks out even more energy so that is why the summer hurts more

as for your Aura being scary...far from it...this is your trigger...your Aura is to protect you and perhaps when you stop fighting with your protection it will be able to protect you!!

you need to increase your Aura (by being positive and happy) as you are very sensitive to the Energy at the moment - but this will pass when you Accept who you are...and you are special

try to stop using medication as you are just filling your self up with toxins which will affect you later.

  2. The cause of migraine headaches has been known for thousands of years, as documented in the Ebers' Papyrus. Furthermore, the first indications of visual aura go back even further to the story of Eve (the serpent) in the Book of Genesis. Unfortunately, science currently sees such written evidence as superstitions or mere religious beliefs that are untrue or that cannot be proved. However, science continues to be dumbfounded by the cause of migraines and visual aura.

The fact is that both migraine headaches and accompanying visual aura are of supernatural origin. Those who experience them are the saints spoken of in the scriptures. The serpents described in the scriptures are not actual or figurative snakes but the visual aura as described by some migraineurs an epileptics.

As indicated in the Bible, serpents are sent to discipline the observer. You will find that by embracing the situation, as painful and scary as it is, its duration will be minimized. Furthermore, by always behaving in a righteous manner, one can make migraines/aura a thing of the past.

  3. I am 48 years old and have had migraines since I was 11.At that time and for a long time after my trigger was chocolate.I did the chiropractor for years ,it helped somewhat but if you stop the headaches comes back.I, sometimes end up in the E.R. with them and nausea and vomiting and they were giving me Demerol and Vistaril which is a narcotic pain reliever and an anti-emetic.I was also started on Depakote which is actually an anti-seizure medication but I take it every day and the headaches have been fewer.I also have an injectable medication called Imitrex which works some of the time.I am a retired nurse and what you really need to do is see a neurologist to make sure what you are having is actually a migraine  or something else.Ask your parents to make an appointment for you. When you get the aura go to bed, shut off the lights and stay quiet. One thing that that the  E.R. gave me  once was Benadryl which is an antihistamine  and they told me they don't know why it works on migraines but it does. That day I had been given Demerol,Morphine,Vistaril with no luck.I had 50 mg of Benadryl and the headache was gone in 20 minutes and it has worked several times since then. Please, I am just telling you what worked for me but you really need to see a doctor.Beware Benadryl makes some people very tired so please do not try it without speaking to an adult.Good luck!
