  1. I would go to Breckenridge, Colorado. It is really worth the trip and is only a 2-hour drive from downtown Denver. If you are looking for wonderful, kid-friendly resorts, Breck is your place. Make sure you go to Steak and Rib one night!

    Hope this helps!

  2. My favorite on the east coast is Smugglers Notch.  My favorite on the west coast is Steamboat Springs.  Take your pick.  You can't go wrong!

  3. Well, many resorts are kid friendly. Come to Utah. You can stay in Salt Lake, and ski at least seven different resorts that are all awesome in their own way, and they are all within 1 hour drive. Plus many hotels have shuttle services.

Note: if you come to Utah, Deer Valley and Alta do not allow snowboarding.

If you go to Taos, in NM (which I have heard is good), they also don't allow snowboarding as of now. I think that they are changing that policy sometime in March though.

  4. Vail is pretty cool for kids ,,,,

Adventure Ridge is open afternoons and evenings ,, with tubing, snowmobiling, laser tag etc etc

    go to vail.snow.com

  5. Come to Park City! The best time I would say is right after Sundance, so the beginning of February. People from Sundance don't ski, but the hotels are full and the roads are terrible. I would say you should go to The Canyons or Park City because they are cheaper than Deer Valley. You could also drive to Salt Lake and go to the AWESOME resorts there. Alta, Snowbird and Solitude are SWEEEET!!  You might even want to just stay in Salt Lake because its cheaper. Anyway, have fun wherever you go. Deer Valley is definantly the most kid friendly resort, but all of them in PC are pretty good. Deer Valley has amazing ski school and treatment for the kids. They also have great daycare.

  6. If you stay in Salt Lake, you have Snowbird, Alta (no snowboarders), Solitude and Brighton minutes from your hotel. Another hour away is Park City, with The Canyons, Deer Vally and Park City Mountain Resort. Utah is a very family-friendly state, and if you stay in Salt Lake, there's lots for your kids to do (Children's Museum, Planetarium, Aquarium, zoo).

As for my pick out of all of the above, my family has timeshare at Snowbird's resort - it's extremely family friendly, tons of activities for the kids on and off the slopes. Since I live here, never stayed at any of the other ski resorts, just visited for ski day!

  7. Hunter,NY is AWESOME      AMAZING slopes

  8. In my opinion, Colorado has many more places to ski. Steamboat, Vail, Aspen, Breckenridge, Telluride, Durango, Beaver Creek, Wolf Creek, Copper Mt., Keystone. they are all good. Vermont is nice too, Stowe, Killington, Smuggler's Notch.
