  1. Try Wells Fargo, its free for the savings and the checkings only charges you during summer when your out of school.

  2. Any bank should have some sort of option for high school students with no minimum fee for checking accounts. As for special high school accounts... not sure.. sorry

  3. Anywhere.  You can open a checking and/or savings at anywhere from a local credit union, all the way to a nationwide bank such as Bank Of America (although I do not recommend them.)

Being under 19 years old (which I'm assuming you are since you're in high school) you legally cannot be charged any fees on those accounts, aside from if you overdraft the checking account.  So, in other words, you do not have to worry about keeping a minimum amount in your checking account until you turn 19.

Policies do vary by bank, but some may require you have an adult be a joint account holder with you.  It's not a big deal; my mom was a joint account holder with me on my checking and my savings until I hit 18.

  4. CIBC offers a 4% interest on savings account, very good to grow money.

  5. Wachovia free student checking and saving. No bank charges as long as your in school

  6. bank of america.

you would get a free checking account for 5 years and savings, also if your 18 or over you can get a student credit card to start building your credit, and there would be 0% interest for a year and free identity theft for 5 years
