  1. Well, I have never been in Punta Cana (where is it?), but I know very well Puerto Vallarta. It is awesome, wonderful and nobody is sorry of going there.

  2. Puerto Valllarta have everything, beach, mountains, rivers, places for activities all day and night. I've been there and it's amazing.

  3. I had a great time in PV, the city was amazing and we always felt safe no matter what time of day it was.  I have not stayed at the resort you are going to so I am no help there.  I too have been to Punta Cana and yes, the ocean there is much nicer but I am not an ocean person so to me the trips were both great!  I am planning on going back to PV again next year.

  4. Vallarta is a big city and the ocean is nothing like the Caribbean.  Might depend on which resort you go to.

I live on the west coast so am not putting it down ... it's just different than the Caribbean.

  5. i love puerto vallarta!!!!!!!!

  6. we were there two years ago and stayed at the golden crown resort. the water is not pretty at all but we were also by the bay. we are getting married this june and punta cana is my number one choice for our honeymoon but we can go because of the flight schedule.....bummer. we are looking now for someplace with a better flight schedule. anyway, i have never been to pc, but i think you should go back. pv is kind of boring.

  7. This depends on what you go for. Puerto Vallarta has all the tourist glitz - but not as nice beaches - it also offers you the chance to get away from the the tourist trap and visit some really nice laid back Mexican towns

  8. It depends.  Will it be cheaper? It depends on what you like to do for fun.  If you stay downtown, you will be rewarded for not dealing with Nuevo Vallarta, megamalls, Sam's Club, etc.

Staying in old town will give you a more cultural Mexican experience and you won't have to pay to get there every day.
