  1. Risk is a good game.  Scattergories is fun.

My brother plays Beer Risk.  If someone bumps into the board and knocks pieces over, they have to drink a beer.

  2. I like the Game of Life, and Stratigo

  3. I've always liked that game called, "Life." I highly recommend that game.

  4. For fun me and the guys and sometimes our wives play Bohnanza ( a very funny bean game).  The wives have also gotten in on our Settlers of Catan games on occasion.  For our competitive guys night we have made the transition from Settlers and Risk to games like Acquire (Hotel Stocks Game) Puerto Rico, and Elasund (in the Settlers of Catan Family).  We played so much Settlers and Risk for a year that we started getting new games every year and incorporating them into the gaming mix.  We still play a little of everything depending on if it is someones birthday (birthday boy's choice) or whose house were at (home field advantage).  Many great times of get togethers with friends and their spouses.

  5. the best game in the world is "Boxers or Briefs". it's a fun game to play with your family and friends

  6. That really depends on what you'd like.  Light strategy games that are popular include:

    - Settlers of Catan

    - Carcassonne

    - Ticket to Ride

If you like more player interaction, look at 'auction' based games like:

    - Alhambra

    - Modern Art

Or somewhat direct confrontation games like:

    - Citadels

There are a ton of wargames too out there, though most are 2 player games such as:

    - Battlelore

    - Memoir '44

And if you're looking for word and trivia games there's:

    - Wits and Wagers

    - BuyWord

    Hope that helps!

  7. Risk

    Stratego

    Payday

    Life

    Sorry!

    Masterpiece

    Acquire

    Milles Borne

    Easy Money

    Battleship

    and a thousand others.

  8. Ricochet Robots

    - Everyone plays at once. No down time!

    - Basic Strategy / puzzle solving game!

    - Easy to Learn – start playing in five minutes or less.

I also love Carcassonne and Settlers of Catan – very popular…currently being made into a video game.

The Dating Sucks card game is funny. www.DatingSucksGame.com

I would love to try Zombies. I hear it’s fun.

  9. From someone who's been gaming for YEARS.

I >LOVE< Talisman.  You can pick up the newest version (4.0) at TheWarStore for around $40...don't remember exactly.

Think of it as a Fantasy version of Monopoly...just not as boring, and does not take as long to finish (about 1-2 hours per game).

It's a game even my wife can get into (heck, she won the last game we played).

Anyway, at least look into it, I think you'll like it.

  10. Apples to Apples...hilarious fun.

  11. Scattergories, Sorry, Life, Yahtzee, Chutes and Ladders, and Scrabble Jr.

  12. Risk - One of the greatest games ever, I play this all the time at Uni, one game lastest from 6pm to 2am, one guy refused to give up Australia....

Monopoly is also good, but can get a bit tedious after a while.

  13. My family loves the Scene-it games and Cranium is fun to play with others.
