  1. Hahn used to be a military AB.

    Frankfurt-Hahn is actually 120 km from Frankfurt itself.

    There is a Shuttle Bus Service and it takes about 1.5 - 2 hrs. to Frankfurt.

    Located in the "Hunsrueck", close to Simmern, Kirchberg or Kastellaun on Hwy 327


  2. The Airport is not near Frankfurt. Its 115 kilometers away from Frankfurt. Its a litlle Airport and there are many cheap flights to buy.

    If you come from outside Germany you have to know that the train from Hahn to Frankfurt cost 22 Euros or more. You have to calculate.

  3. Basically a dead former U.S. AFairbase in the Eifel region now used primarily by Ryan Air, sometimes by folks shuttling in from Frankfurt. I remember Hahn AB in its heyday as well, wasn't much then either..
