Any body please give me the details of AMIE

Question

I like to do engineering by openuniversity.

Now i am working in Qatar.It is possible from here?

I also heard about AMIE,somebody says it is an equalent course of

BE/Btech.Is it true?

Would you pls give me a brief answer?
