Any body watch the MMA fights saturday night?.. what do you think of Kimbo Slice's bushy beard? xtra padding?

probably not, but it was just something I was pondering as i watched the fights...Sort of like having 3 inches of styrofoam popcorn protecting breakables...LOL...Just my thoughts...anybody else?

I saw the show, it was horrible, overall. Ive mentioned to a few people that I think Kimbo's beard pads punches...It's quite smart of him to continue to let it grow, but I think eventually, they will make him get rid of it.

you know, i did notice that...not a lot of fighters have facial hair though, so it can't be as big of an advantage as "three inches of Styrofoam"

lol...thats pretty funny...a while back there used to be a rule in canadian boxing that you couldn't have a beard and fight.  not because of the padding factor though...lol...apparently a stray beard hair could get on either the opponents glove, and back into the beard wearers eye, or onto the beard wearers glove while protecting himself, and into the opponents eye

not sure if the rule still exsists though. and really that had nothing to do with your question but i thought i would share it anyways.

as for kimbo...every little thing helps i guess!

Looks cool. But it does also look very prickly and looks like he itches alot. Also looks prone to ingrown hairs. But overall I think a style like that looks good on a tough guy like that.
