    The Uglies Series-Scott Westerfield

    Midnighter Series-Scott Westerfield

    The NightWorld Series-LJ Smith

  7. A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle

  8. Ok you have got to read this book it is like the best ever it is called

The Diamond Of Dury Lane by Julia Golding

it is my favourite book ever and i also absolutely love harry potter so that is saying something. lol

  9. The gift by alison croggon (read this!!!!)

City Of Bones by cassandra clare

    Magyk by Angie Sage

    The Darkwing omnibus

These are just a couple of series that include magic/ power that i absolutely love. The gift is amazing - fourth book coming out on 1.9.08.Brill!!!

The Gemma Doyle trilogy is also about a school and these girls who set up a group called the order and it deals with well magic - sorta and it has different realms etc just started reading it so thats all i can say but its very good!!!!!!

  10. Never even read Twlight but Chronicals of Narnia is really good.  Similar in genre to Harry Potter but not the same

The Shadow Children series by Margaret Peterson Haddix is also really good,  actually I'd recommend any of her books

Penedragon is really good too (another series)

Keys to the Kingdom also really good (yes, another series)

  11. The Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer are really good!

also the Eragon series by Christopher Paollini are good

  12. Perhaps "A Wizard of Earth-sea" by Ursula K. Le Guin it's very similar to Harry Potter.

  13. Have you read the philip pullman 'his dark materials' triology? They are awesome. Also I've recently read one called tunnels (which has a sequel called deeper) about an underground world. It was good. Also you might like terry pratchett books, not my cup of tea but lots of other people seem to like them.

  14. I agreed with those people, but i think you need to know...

    1) Daughters of the Moon - Lynne Ewing: It's a series about these 5 girls who are goddesses, its just got some cool characters, and lots of reference to the Roman mythology. Same save-the-world type things

    2) Maximum Ride - James Patterson: Im not sure about the last 2, but the 1st two of the series was pretty good. It's funny, fast paced. About 5 kids who escaped a horrible science experiment, they have wings so they can fly, but they're escaping the school and yeh... its cool

    3) Mediator - Meg Cabot: It's funny and about a girl who can see ghosts so she has to help them move on, however she's got an attitude

    4) Night World - L.J Smith: About a secret society of werewolves, vamps, witches and they collide with normal humans, some even fall in love. But it's written in a way so there are many twists along the way. i highly recommend this series.

    5) Uglies - Scott Westerfeld: Action adventure series! Really cool. About how in the future everyone gets plastic surgery when they turn 16 and one girl goes against it causing lots of stuff to happen to the main character, even a massive secret of what the plastic surgery does to spill out.

    Hope i helped, good luck

  15. I really enjoyed the Mortal Instruments Trilogy [however only two of the three are currently out.] by Cassandra Clare. The first book is called City of Bones. I really love them, but I'm not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for, but you should deffinitely give them a try.

    If you're interested, here's the website: http://www.mortalinstruments.com/

    Hope that helps!

  16. If you like Fantasy then try David Eddings Belgariad and Malloreon series'.  They are brilliant.  Its good v evil, love story, magic, knights, spies and sorcerers and sorceresses.

  17. the cry of the icemark by stuart hill is a good fantasy. there are three of them. "the cry of the icemark" "the blade of fire" and "last battle of the icemark"

also you might want to give "Eragon" by "christopher paolini" a go

  18. Noughts and crosses triliogy

    THAT was good

    nearly as good as twilight!!

  19. Ben Elton has written 2 really good books that you might enjoy

Chart Throb is a really funny satire of the X factor

Dead Famous is about a murder in the big brother house.  Sounds bad but really funny and a little bit scary too
