First off, I know its odd, but Stephenie Meyer's name has no a. Its S-T-E-P-H-E-N-I-E Meyer. She was named after her father, Stephen.

Next off, I think you'd like Blue Bloods, by Melissa De la Cruz. I've just started that series and its kind of like a mix between Twilight, The Clique series, and Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire. It's very good.

Also, you might like The looking Glass Wars Trilogy by Frank Beddor. It's about what "really happened" in the story if Alice in Wonderland. It's very suspenseful but also light-hearted and sweetly romantic.

Another series that I really like is the Lioness quartet, The Protector of the Small quartet, the Wild Magic quartet, and all the rest of the novels set in Tortall by Tamora Pierce. All of these novels are highly suspenseful and masterfully written, and romance does play a part in many, though not all novels.

The True Confessions of Georgia Nicholson are not romantic or suspenseful, but they involve love and are incredibly funny. I highly recommend them to just about anyone.
