There's this western-seafood resturant near hong kong st. that sell nice yet cheap fish & chips but sorry i cant remember the name, its something fish & oyster if i'm not wrong(the sign is in blue). Its facing clarke quay MRT. will update you on the actual resturant name and the address...=)

try Fig & Olive at Bencoolen street opposite NAFA. food is superb and it has a very cosy atmosphere. And, the price is very reasonable for that kind of cafe/restaurant.
