Any car crash?

Question

Have you ever had a car crash? how did it feel? (Don't be mad at me asking this seemly stupid question, but I had a close call this evening and totally freaking out)

The front end of my car was taken off by an idiot who ran a red light while drag racing down a federal highway.  Fortunately, the cab held up and I wasn't seriously injured, but I got an ambulance ride to the hospital.  I was nervous and a little embarassed because I'm a little heavy.  The accident seemed like it was in slow motion and I just sat there for what seemed like FOREVER waiting for him to hit me and wondering if I was going to die.  I was sore for a while and missed a few days of work. Then I was PO'd because my insurance rates went up even though it was 100% his fault. Another time I was a passenger in a near miss and it is true that sometimes your whole life flashes before you if you think you are going to die.  I'd be freaked too.  Treat yourself well and gently for a few days.

In 1973 I was run off the road by a drunk drive and spent 3 days in the hospital and it felt bad............

I was a passenger in a truck when it rolled over on a curve because we were going too fast. From the time we started rolling until we stopped up right on all four wheels took only a few seconds but seem to take hours, kinda like time stood still. (One full revolution) The three of us had a few scratches and bruises, but nothing serious. We were able to drive this vehicle home, but it was all bent up and without a windshield. WOW!!! it was cold, with temperatures in the low 30's.

My son was just killed by a drunk driver April 27, 2008 and it is still very hard to deal with. I was hit in 1997 from another oncoming car that came into my lane. At first I was very angry then I got sad. That was a bad ordeal it totally my car and I now have back problems from that wreck. It will make you pay more attention to other drivers.

I was making a left turn on to another road when this lady came flying around a curve and hit my car. My car then went airborne and bounced off the hood of a truck stopped at the stop sign. My car finally came to a rest across the street. Luckily an embankment kept my car from going any further. My car was totalled but some how I managed to walk away without a scratch. The police officer was really surprised that I didn't get hurt and he asked me if I was sure I was okay. My neck hurt a little bit but other than that I felt fine. He told me I was very lucky to be standing there talking to him because usually when the car looks as bad as mine did there are usually injuries or a fatality. I had nightmares about the accident for several days. Every time I closed my eyes I would see that car coming toward me.
