  1. Carr's days as a starter are over. He can be safely called a bust.

  2. I thinkhe will play because manning will get injured. he will do the same thing to the giants he did for the panthers. thats take a playoff team down in the gutter and will keep them there. He was outplayed bvy a 44 year old qb last year and a rookie qb. the giants should have gotten vinny t to come out of retirement

  3. he's never gonna be a starter again.

  4. When he first went to NY Giants, most Jints fans were really down on him and thought he was a waste of money.

In training camp, Carr was definitely showing signs of "post traumatic stress disorder" from being the all-time sacked QB in the NFL.   As he said about his history in the pocket, "It got to the point, I just worried about getting home healthy to my wife and kids."

However, the Jints have a great O-line.  While his early camp reports definitely looked like he was headed for a cut with Wright being Eli's backup, Carr has made progress from his first days in camp to his last.

In fact, during the game against Detroit last week, he looked really good.  Now Coughlin says there is definitely competition at the 2 spot.   I was reading the Giants game thread on their boards during the Browns game.  All these fans that had hated Carr initially now were really p*ssed that Coughlin had a 3rd string line in there with him and he got a sack...just what Carr doesn't need to regain confidence.

The Giants have a great QB coach (look at Eli's progress last year) who was with the Texans when Carr was drafted, so that is helping Carr regain confidence, too.

Will Carr play tonight?  Absolutely.  According to Coughlin, Gilbride, and Palmer, there is definitely a contest going of Carr v. Wright.  While Carr has a long way still to go to prove himself, I can tell you that a lot of Jints fans have changed their attitude toward him and are now willing to give him a chance.

Since one of them has to go, look for Eli to play another two series tonight; the rookie QB Woodson didn't get to play last week because he hadn't had any 2 minute drills yet, which were needed if he went in as scheduled, so Woodson definitely needs to play tonight.

However, all Giants eyes are excited to see what goes down in the competition between Wright and Carr.  That's the hot topic today in NY.  Tonight may well be the determining factor of whether Carr stays in the NFL or starts serving burgers at BK.

  5. naw he ruined his chance and Carr better pray that Delhome gets injured which may not happen.

He should just play in Canada for a couple of years to gain his confidence back and get paid more

  6. I highly doubt it.

  7. Carr should never play. I read that he may not even make the team. I hope he does though, because a spot on a great team should help boost his confidence. I still think if the Texans would have brought him along slowly or at least put an effort into building an offensive line, you would be a decent QB. His problem is that he's too scared to throw the deep ball so he dumps off to RBs and TEs too often. I can't blame him after being sacked a record number of times.

Like him or not, you have to admit, he's one tough guy. To take that beating and still be able to get back up again, it's impressive. It's too bad he'll never live up to his potential and that a terrible Texans team will ultimately make him be viewed as one of the all-time busts ni the NFL.
