Any chance we live somewhere else before we come here to earth? (I don't mean reincarnation.) (I'm watching a thing about comedians on the History Channel..and one mentioned that he thinks some people are born comedians.) Of course that started me "wondering"....

  1. yea....were just too little to express it lol

  2. yes! my future grandson is going to be a one armed juggler?

  3. i heard that if you listen to classical music while pregnant, your baby will be smart. (and my little brother IS pretty bright for a 2 year old...) another one i've heard is that if you read funny books, you'll have a happy child.

  4. I really don't know, that would be cool tho

  5. Actually, it is thought that when we are developing in the womb we are the strongest in our senses & ablilities.

  6. i dont know people says its true

  7. I think we are all born phychic and then as we age and grow older, we forget or are discouraged by our environment. Of course people are born with talents, like per se comedians.  But it depends on their environment if they will reach their potential, like if their parents discourage fun and are discipline oriented for example. but then if they have an aunt that they visit who has a sense of humor, well you see where I am going.

  8. I think we may have a predetermined disposition that could be accredited to our astrological make up.

  9. i think your personality has a lot to do with genetics and life experiences.

  10. its very possible. it kinda relates to the psychological contest between nature vs. nurture. some people believe ppl are born with their gifts while others' gifts are produced through environmental attributes. h**l, there are people called autistic savants that suck in one area (social skills, etc) and excel in another area (math).

  11. I think most people are the way they are because of the experiences and environment they were exposed to and grew up in.

  12. there is a chance for everything

  13. Yes, depending if you are born with a silver spoon!!

  14. I recently heard a theory that we choose our parents and life circumstances before birth.  We start out with a plan of what we'll do to improve the world and then forget as soon as we're born.

  15. There is an evidence of how a brain develops certain parts, before its born. That's recent. A big progress is underway. Magnetic resonance scanners are the key for that.

A 4 months fetus, develops abilities for lenguages and music.

The kid an feel well or not according to our lives. I´m sure they notice agressiviness. Those kids when they get elder, we say: " a very talented kid", but not:"he developped certain abilities before being born".

  16. No, not completely. Some things we bring with us and some things are developed based on our upbringing.

  17. When I was growing up, people used to say I was an old soul - because of the things I said.

I learn't virtually nothing on WW2 at school, but was fascinated by it. I am convinced I was involved in that at somepoint. The first time I used a rifle, I was an amazing shot at the fairground. You know that they set the sights off? - well I instinctively aimed off after the first shot, and won a couple of prizes straight off - even for free for the guys working there - they set up a small washer on a string. The first time I hit it, and set it swinginging, then I hit it again - still swinging.

Never used a rifle before that.

.. So reincarnation yes - up to a point . I treat each lifetime as a term in school.

  18. As a Christian, in my view I believe people are endowed with their talents before they exist by God. It's a matter of choice wheter they discover it and use it to their full potential. However, I think personality is developed after birth and is the result of three factors: The influence around them, the enviroment around them, and their self actualization.

  19. yes it,s possible cuz for me ,the world is like a dream

  20. I don't think so, but I think we do pick certain "lives" that might give us the type of course we're looking for -- for spiritual growth-- Once we incarnate on earth, 'free will' overrides and we must make an effort to acquire the necessary knowledge again, to truly live out the life that we had planned before inception.  I think this has more to do with personal relationships and scenarios than the specific jobs that we can do.

  21. I don't know about coming from some other place.... but genetics plays a big part in a lot of our traits, abilities and personality.  My mother left my father and took the children back when my brother was only 10 months old.  We were reunited with my father when my brother was 14, and it was absolutely scary how much my brother was like my father!!  They had so many of the same mannerisms, even thought we were not raised around my father.

  22. I think it's a def. possibility that we develop our personalities in utero but drs. say the childs' personality develops by the age of 9 mos...

who is right? i don't know.. but i can remember being in my mom's tummy...it was comfy.. heehee

  23. Absolutely Deenie, You inherit many of your personality traits and your proclivities. The old tabula rasa theory is getting very out dated as we learn more about pre-birth behavior. Haven't you noticed when someone has a very active pregnancy (you know the kind with the kickers inside) these are the ones that become early walkers and are very active once they are born. You are born with a sense of timing, you are born with a way of listening, although these skills can be refined when you are born and walking , there are so many that have these abilities naturally.

  24. It is true that our genetics give us predispositions for many things. As far as living in another world before we come here goes, well, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

  25. I tend to think people bring a lot of their character into this life with them.   I do not think the environmental factors explain such differences sufficiently.

  26. sure...you are given a gene pool that predisposes you to certain traits.

  27. I think our genetic makeup helps make us who we are and what we will like.  My friend was adopted and he loves film and is a huge stickler for following rules.  He found out his birth parents are a film producer and a cop.  That's some pretty good evidence that we are genetically decided in our likes.  Of course, I think how you are raised affects it a lot too, but it's got to be some of both.
