Stick with Yamaha. Vespas are over rated and over priced.

I don't know much about gas scooters, but I do about electric scooters. You can get a good electric scooter from Thompson's (www.scootersnbikes.com) for under $900 including shipping. I have not seen another scooter that can carry over 450 lbs. This is because of the steel frame and steel wheels. You can get better scooters for more cash by buying fm dealers that sell the Skeuter brand of electric scooters (www.skeuter.com). There are other, higher priced scooters like the Evader EV 1000 that you might look at also, but these run almost $3000.
