i think it would be cool if they did, but they would have to make 2 and theyd both have to be in the AL or theyd have to mix up the divisions

  1. Well if they add 1 then they need to add another.  You can't have an odd amount of teams in baseball.  It would not work.

  2. I don't think they will, there are already too many teams struggling to perform on the field or make money.  It wouldn't help the league at all to add an expansion team.

  3. The last expansion was a disaster, two years later they tried to get rid of two teams. MLB has already stated there will not be any more expansion. If they do, you're talking 20 years from now. The pitching from the last expansion still hasn't recovered. I hope they're done with expansion.

PS. The guy saying "Vegas" is incorrect. The test games they've had there have ALL been busts attendance wise and there would be too many issues with gambling being legal. MLB has already stated they have no intention of ever putting a team in Vegas. I have no idea why people here continually try to pass off guesses or opinions as facts.

  4. another team in Toronto

  5. Nope. They'd have to redo the divisions again. Then find players from other teams to make up these two teams. It wouldn't make any sense to do it. Just not worth it.

  6. I hope not, talent is thin already, especially pitching.  More teams would make each team weaker.

  7. pensylvania or new york

  8. In the next ten years there will not be an expansion team.  Too many teams are below the "poverty line" in baseball, and an expansion would make it even worse.  Every leagues next target is Las Vegas.  The city has the funds, its a tax haven for franchises and it has the population.  A few years ago they were talking about actually taking a few teams out (blue jays, marlins, rays), but i dont think that is a good idea either, although each of those teams has terrible attendance in the last 10 yrs.

  9. I don't see any new teams but I could see some teams relocating like the Marlins.

  10. I don't think they will expand but its fun to think about and I think they could expand to Las Vegas and add them to the AL West.  Also expand and put a team in Indianapolis, add them to the AL Central so both Central's AL and NL have 6 teams...

  11. They shouldn't add any more.  But they could always move some!

I live in Fort Wayne, IN.  I would love to have a Major League team in town.  So either Fort Wayne or Indianapolis.

It isn't fair that Illinois has 2 teams, Michigan has 1, Ohio has like 3 and we have none!
