Any chance the Rangers could get Brooks Orpik?

Would really love his physical play on the blue line, the Rangers have no physical defensmen. What are the chances of them getting him?

I think they could give it a shot.

Orpik is a definate out of Pittsburgh unless they fire there coach (he even said it himself) but I think the Rangers need a power-play QB.

They have a good set of defensemen who work pretty well but there gonna need someone like Campbell or Streit.

Since Army & Crusher left, Orpik and Whitney have been on the end of Therrien's short leash... So if he's willing to give up one of the two people that will allow him to yank their chain.... then i dunno.

why not they already have half of the ex-pens cast offs..whats one more

if the pens let him go they better address his position in the off season because he is there only d-man that typically lights opponents up

I think the chances of Hook...erm..I mean Brooks going to NY are pretty good..He's a very physical player..but the Pens have a cap and I don't think he's gonna be on there must have list...also he hates Therian..

They don't really need him.  Orpik is kind of an antagonizer type player, and they've already got that in Avery assuming they resign him.  I personally think that Mike Commodore would be a good fit on the Rangers, he's a hard hitting stay-at-home defenceman that won't burn a hole in their already shallow pocket.
