(besides having windows down). I drive an 88' Ford Festiva, and though the mpg's are great, hot weather is awful. I'm in MD, so its the humidy miserable hotness too. Anyways, are there any cheap alternatives to having actual a/c? What do you do? (and how much could a/c cost to get put it?)

  1. Installing air conditioning in a vehicle that doesn't have any could be around $2,000 -$4,000 or more, depending on the year, make and model. Again, luxury vehicles could cost even more, depending on location.......Trade that car  and get one with a/c...

  2. leave your windows down and drive faster, or have a sunroof installed.

  3. A fan

  4. Shop around for a good price on getting ac put in.

It will probly cost a grand or two.

You can put in a sun roof for a couple of hurdred.

  5. Putting AC in that car would be a waste of money.

Your best bet would be a pop up/removeable sunroof. If you're handy with tools, you can easily install one yourself. Check the link below for an example of one you can get.
