Question:

Any clue on the value of a 1947 dime?

I found a 1947 dime and just wanted to know if it's worth anything. It has no marking of D, S, or P, and it has no mint marking either. It feels rather light so I'm not sure if it's silver or copper or what.

I've seached the internet and found nothing.

Does anyone have any clue on value? Or where I can find it?

Thanks.

  1. 10 pennies, 1 10th of a dollar

  2. you can ask the bank, they might tell you, they're normally the ones who give you the money for old coins i think..

  3. 10 cents if you use it...maybe 12 cents if you convince some little kid to buy it!!! lol :)

  4. Im going to take a wild whack, and say...Hmmmm? ten cents!

  5. 10 cents

  6. lol its 10 cents still. try waiting about 200 years.

  7. It's worth 10 cents, but if it has an "S" mint mark it would be worth $1.00, so keep looking. Also it is a silver coin and the melt down value is about 9 cents

  8. It is worth 43 cents.

  9. maybe a dollar?

I don't think you get money because it has to be over 100 years old

  10. check the side of the dime and if there is brown (copper) it's worthless for now and 1946-1964 Roosevelt Silver Dime are all 100% silver, and if it is it is worth 3-86$ depending on how mint it is. Plus you need a buyer =/
