Any comments on these work from home business deals?

I need to help out my husband, but cannot afford the high price of daycare for my 2 yr old. Does anybody have any expierence with data processing, or secret shopper work? Does anybody out there do this and has had good results? I was told that if they ask for money up front, it is not legit because they are the ones supposed to be looking to hire you, not the other way around. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

  1. would you be interested in writing?

You could setup a blog or website, this is completely free.  Once you have added some good content, you can start to earn money from advertising.  I know you wont make a huge income from this, but it would get you started working from home.

Pick a topic which you are very interested in, and write a piece on that everyday.

I've given step by step instructions on how to create a website for free, and then add adverts to it so you can start generating income.

Any questions please leave a comment on this blog.

I've also found some useful information on these blogs, it helps you to earn small amounts of money from data entry, surveys, receiving telephone calls, reading adverts in emails and online selling.

  2. I don't know anything about data processing but my mom did do Secret Shopper work. All she would tell me is was told what to buy & where or where to go eat and what to eat. She'd then fill out forms & stuff like that. She didn't tell me how much she was paid and stuff like that.

I sell on Ebay and have an Ebay store. I'm a homeschooling/ stay at home mom. I hated feeling like a child when I asked my hubby for money. Seriously I'd only have cash in my wallet for my birthday or Christmas. I hated it. Plus if I'd buy something online & put it on the credit card I'd feel like a kid caught in the cookie jar each time he'd get the bill! I still feel like that sometimes. lol But it's a pain you know?

Selling on Ebay is fun. I mean everyone has junk they don't want. I sell more from my store than auctions. I've stopped doing auctions and just let the stuff in my store sell. I at times make just $30 a month but after ebay fees & stuff I make maybe only $15 or so. But it's better than nothing.

I've tried iOffer which is so much cheaper than Ebay. No listing fees, free store and stuff like that. But for like 2mts I've only sold two things.

I'm happy with the little bit I make. I usually just use to buy stuff for myself or kids.

I need to post more stuff so more will sell which will make my earning maybe $30-40 a month but haven't done that yet.

    Hope this helps.

  6. Hi, it's Nina from Florida. I was just like you looking for something without a big investment to put in to start on the Net. I spent a lot of time searching through, came across many opportunities, but they all required $250-$1000 to start. Then I came across this totally new Free Marketing System, that just blew my mind away with all its ways to make money online. Many people just don't know, that there are more than 22 passive streams of income that can be utilized to make money. I joined, as promised all streams are free to join. The system walks you through the series of videos to help you set the streams up and running. It also helps you expand any existing online businesses that you might have. To make the long story short, if this sounds interesting to you, here is a link:

Take a look and hope it will show you what you are looking for. Cheers, Nina

  7. I've been doing some work with www.elance.com the past week, all the work is home based, data entry, transcription etc. The only thing is you're competing against people from countries where the hourly rate of pay is a lot lower, so not sure if it would be worth it for you.

Also have a look at the jobs listed here, most are applicable to us,canada, europe, its quite good, thats where I found the above link.

    http://dataentry-jobsearch.blogspot.com/

Its been updated today to include some Craft type jobs which can be done from home, mainly re-distribution, but it possible to make good money from it if you work hard.

So many online jobs are out there. In fact, to do any online job, you need not want to invest anything. Make sure, you dont pay anything to get jobs online. It is just that need to pick the one that suits you the best. I hope this helps you and I believe you will find the online job that you love the most. Thanks

  9. Hi! You should never pay anyone to have a JOB from home. If someone is offering employment and asking for money then it is a scam. However, a HOME BUSINESS is different. If you and I decided to open up our own coffee shop then there would be start up costs right? It's the same for home businesses. You work for yourself and the income potential is unlimited. Not to mention the great people you will meet and the fun you will have along the way. You have to be sure you choose something you are passionate about. You can market makeup, candles, health products, etc. I chose to help people save money on their health care. There are many many people that need medical, vision, or dental benefits. 56 million Americans do not have coverage. Even more need a dental plan.

If you would like to own your own business helping people save money on health care, please listen to a 15 minute recorded overview by calling 712-432-9598. If you love what you hear..then request an interview by visiting http://www.FreedomAtHomeTeam.com/TCothre... ,or call me at 1-866-400-8716.

  10. It sounds like what your referring to is looking for a job, not a business.  You are right, a job position would not ask for money.  They would be hiring you.  However, a business that your question states you would have start up costs.  These are not jobs, but businesses that you own and run from your home.  There is a big difference between the two.  I think you should take a look at a home based job article as well as a home based business article that will really help break down the difference.  Each are good ways to make an income, but both ways create a completely different type of level.  Home jobs in which there are no investments, fees or anything like that, only pay minimum waged.  Where as home based business opportunities give you the same income opportunity as a traditional business without all the over head expenses.  So after reading the articles, it will help you point you in the right direction in which way you want to work from home.  Rather it's a job or having your own business.

    Good Luck!

  11. Craigslist.org often has advertisements for part-time, temporary, and sometimes full-time telecommuting work. It tends towards technical positions, but isn't limited to them. I saw one a couple of weeks ago looking for an editor for a community paper.

There are a ton of scams there, too, so limit the digging you'll have to do by specifying telecommuting and not "work from home."

Also check your local paper and online communities for not-for-profits. In Canada we have CharityVillage; maybe there's something like that where you are. Sometimes they need extra help but don't have the need or budget for a full-timer.

The work-from-home biggies are all bullcrap. Data entry, envelope stuffing, Project Payday, Cash Crate, Google Advertise, surveys, paid-to-click, MLM "distributorships" of weird overpriced products, all of it is time-wasting nonsense.

  12. I have seen a lot of posting for work at home moms. Many of these are just looking for someone to do task. Reply to those - If you are just looking for a job, never pay to find it. The employers are always willing to pay to find you.

Slightly different tact, if you are so inclined, is to start a home buisness. Some suggested doing a blog. There is a lot of chatter about making money from blogs right now. Which means there are hundreds of new blogs being created every day. Good blog ideas will always be read. If you have never written much before, it can be tough. To suddenly crank out 1000 words a day can be a daunting task.

Make a list of things you enjoy doing. Think about businesses assciated with this ad start there. I am a big sports fan and I turned that into becoming a ticket broker. I did buy a startup kit that has worked well for me. I make several hundred a month on this part time.
