Any cool ideas for a tattoo Im getting for my daughter -- her name is Summer*?

I have my daughter's foot prints on my back with her name underneath. She was a premie so the prints are small and cute and her name is in a very pretty script.

I would recommend getting it somewhere it doesn't show.  I am a working professional and I got a tattoo on the inside of my ankle when I was in my 20's.  Now that I am 40 something, I regret it and have to cover it with bandages when I want to wear a skirt/suit.  Believe it or not, people DO judge you differently when they realize you have a tattoo and it's not typically for the better.

Oh wait, you are getting on yourself dedicated to your daughter! Oh, lol. Hmm, maybe a sun, that would be cute. Or maybe her birthdate, that would be special. But it's your choice, I'm kind of against the whole tatoo thing anyways.

My sister has two kids and she had their birthdays tattooed on the back of her neck.. with some stars around it.. its really cute..

An idea i have for when my little girl gets here is to get her birth flower tattooed on my hip with the date of her birth in the center!

maybe a sun or a cute flower. orrr u could get a sun or a flower tht says summer, but is hidden in the picture. tht would be cool.

I would suggest thinking about you and your daughter and think about something that is meaningful to the both of you.  I don't know how old your daughter is.  But there is be a place, or saying, or animal or something that is special to her and would  be meaningful to you. Tattoos are way to personal to ask for an idea from strangers.  You need to think about you and your daughter and your relationship. Remember there is no rush, she will always be your daughter.  Good Luck!

In my personal opinion, names as tattoos can be a little cliched and a little impersonal.

I mean that because it's kind of generic, no offense.

I would sugguest something with relivance to her.

Something that will remind you of her- but not the word "Summer" over your tailbone..

For example, my exboyfriend wanted me to design him a tattoo for his mom, and his first idea was, well Her name.

  instead I came up with a cute little silhouette of a panda bear face, because her favorite animal, and nickname is Panda.

  of course he's int he army right now and his friends might get on him about having a panda bear on his back, he's gonna wait on it (even though it's about as masculine as pandas get) he was pretty set on getting her name, but its' smaller underneath of the picture.

Just dont rush anything until you know exactly what you want.
